Rage Against the War Machine - Rally at the Lincoln Memorial with Tulsi Gabbard, Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Jimmy Dore, Roger Waters

Congress is contemplating sending additional, more sophisticated and long-range weapons systems to Ukraine. Meanwhile, Poland is calling on its citizens to create a 150,000 force on the border of Ukraine, and the US Army 101st Airborne is “practicing for war with Russia.” The US mainstream media is fanning the flames of war without providing context to the 9-year-old conflict or discussion of the Russian security concerns that could put an end to this war.

Why is it so difficult to organize against the War Machine? The neocons and neoliberals in both major parties know that keeping the people divided along party lines, ideology, and identity politics is the way to distract us from their reckless, cruel, and greedy march to nuclear annihilation. It's time for us to put divisions aside and come together in a struggle of existential proportions.

All of the talk is about escalation, not about bringing the conflict to a stop — for the sake of Ukrainians, Russians, Americans, and all of humanity. In the meantime, the anti-war movement has been incapable of organizing an opposition to the war. But that is changing. And the People’s Party is leading the way.

The People’s Party has teamed up with the Libertarian Party to organize the Rage Against the War Machine (RAWM) rally and march on February 19, 2023, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC.

While the People’s Party and the Libertarian Party don't agree on a number of important issues, we agree that there is no “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” in a world devastated by nuclear war. We agree that our resources should be used to improve the lives of Americans, not to wage war around the world for military-industrial profit. We agree that diplomacy hasn't been given a chance in Ukraine, and that the senseless death and destruction could have been avoided and needs to be stopped.

To make a difference in this country, we need to come together with a diversity of voices and opinions. We need to do the work of in-house diplomacy to coalesce into a powerful force against war — to model the leadership sorely missing in the two major parties and our leaders in world affairs.  If we're not able to put differences aside, to create avenues for dialog with other parties and groups at home, and to come together on an issue of such importance as existential war, how can we expect to govern in our diverse nation to bring about prosperity, freedom, and peace?

We’re working to bridge the divisions that keep us unable to defend against the ravages of the War Machine, and that rob the people of our power in a rigged political system. Support our work to Rage Against the War Machine and end poverty at home.

Check our RAWM website for people organizing buses to DC, sister rallies in other cities, and graphics to share. We’ll also be adding discounted hotel room blocks to the resources page on the action website soon. Look for the rally livestream on our People’s Party YouTube page on February 19.

“Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence and thereby eventually lose all ability to defend ourselves and those we love.” – Julian Assange

Let’s stop this war!

Announcing Rage Against the War Machine!

At this very moment, Congress is rushing through a 2023 budget bill that will send Ukraine another $50 billion for war against Russia. That will bring the total to more than $100 billion this year, more than the entire US Federal Government's spending on housing assistance, labor, science, the environment, and transportation.

We have had it with these damn wars blowing up the cost of food and gas, burning American resources, killing people abroad, and being used to take our civil liberties. For decades democracy in this country has been a sham. We all know that this country is actually ruled by a military-industrial deep state. They murdered JFK when he tried to disband the CIA. Now with the rise of China and the BRICS nations, the neocons at the Pentagon have brought us to the edge of a nuclear WW3 in Ukraine in their insane quest to maintain US hegemony at all costs.

That's why on February 19, the anniversary of the war in Ukraine, we are partnering with the Libertarian Party and uniting people across left and right to Rage Against the War Machine! Join us for an anti-war rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. We'll be joined by veterans, speakers, rock bands, comedians, and more. Jimmy Dore, Medea Benjamin, Scott Horton, Garland Nixon, and many others will be there.

We will demand that not one more penny go towards war in Ukraine and that the US negotiate peace. We will also demand the abolition of NATO, the CIA, war, and empire entirely. After the rally we will march to the White House to deliver our demands to Warmonger in Chief Joe Biden.

Every week now there is some new shocking provocation against Russia, some of which were unthinkable even during the Cold War. The Ukrainian missile that hit Poland nearly triggered NATO's Article Five. Ukraine bombed Russian nuclear airbases and got US permission to keep attacking mainland Russia. The US is surfacing nuclear subs to menace Russia.

This is why even the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff says we need to negotiate an end to this war. It's why NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he fears that we are heading for a direct war with Russia -- right before saying that the solution is to escalate faster and harder. And it's why you need to join us at the Lincoln Memorial to Rage Against the War Machine.

We're working to organize the biggest US anti-war protest in decades because that's what this moment in history calls for. We need funds for a stage, jumbotrons, large speakers, video production, buses to DC, banners, flyers, and more. We've set a target of $45,000. Please give what you can. Anything you can donate helps.

Last night Libertarian Party Chair Angela McArdle and I announced the rally on The Jimmy Dore Show. Look out for the video, coming soon on his YouTube and Rumble channels.
